Highlights

DAY 1: Broome to Fitzroy Crossing (396 km)
Collect your car from Broome and head east into the Kimberley’s and on to Fitzroy Crossing, gateway to the spectacular Geikie Gorge National Park, some 20 kilometres away. Regular boat trips are available on the spectacular gorge and are well worth the trip.
DAY 2: Fitzroy To Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge (264 km)
Travel north west on the Gibb River Road to wade the cool waters at Tunnel Creek National Park. Stop at Windjana Gorge National Park. Continue until you reach Saddlers Creek Crossing.
DAY 3: Bell Gorge and Galvans Gorge (200 km)
Spend the day exploring some of the Kimberley’s most scenic gorges. Enjoy hiking and swimming beneath the waterfall in Bell Gorge, see rock art in Galvans Gorge or swim at Barnett River Gorge.
DAY 4: Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge to Mount Elizabeth Station (145 km)
Continue your Kimberley adventure today, departing from Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge and travelling once again along the Gibb River Road. Stop at Barrnett River Gorge and Galvans Gorge before arriving at the working cattle station property of Mt Elizabeth Station. The homestead is 30 kilometres from the Gibb River Road.
DAY 5: Mt Elizabeth Station to El Questro Wilderness Park (315 km)
Departing from Mt Elizabeth Station, continue your adventure along the Gibb River Road, past Home Valley and follow the turnoff signs to El Questro Station. A million acres in size, El Questro is located on the eastern perimeter of the Kimberley region, and extends for approximately 80 kilometres into the heart of the region.
DAY 6: El Questro Wilderness Park
Your day is at your leisure to explore this amazing wilderness.
DAY 7: El Questro Wilderness Park to Kununurra (111 km)
Depart El Questro today and journey to Kununurra, the vibrant provincial town and hub of the East Kimberley. This afternoon be sure to head to Kelly's Knob Lookout to watch a beautiful sunset.
DAY 8: Kununurra
Enjoy a leisurely day in Kununurra. Consider a scenic flight over Purnululu National Park or a relaxing cruise on the Ord River system.
DAY 9: Kununurra Departure
Your Kimberley Gorges self-drive ends with the return of the vehicle at Kununurra Airport.
